HSC one-to-one, Mathematics and Physics
One-to-one HSC Mathematics and Physics with the same tutor from the start of Year 11 through to the final exam.
The second film is this program end to end: a Year 10 or 11 student working through a hard problem, a tutor explaining the underlying idea with three coloured blocks before handing over the whiteboard marker, and a calm handshake once the folder closes. HSC Mathematics and Physics run one to one with Marcus, matched to the current NESA syllabus and to a student's own school assessment calendar, with every past paper question logged so a student is never given the same one twice by accident. Most families start in Year 11 and keep the same weekly slot through to the HSC exam itself.

Per hour, one to one. The lower figure applies to a standing weekly booking for the term; the higher figure is a casual single session with no ongoing booking.

02How it runs
Step by step, in this order
Every session: 60 or 90 minutes, weekly. You always know which part you're on.
- 01 Review of recent assessment results and current syllabus progress
- 02 Weekly one to one session on the topic a student's school is teaching
- 03 Past paper questions set and marked between sessions
- 04 Trial exam study plan built in Term 2 of Year 12
- 05 Final exam preparation sessions in the weeks before the HSC
Can we start partway through Year 12?
Yes, though the earlier a student starts the more of the syllabus we can cover before the trial exams. A mid-year start usually focuses on trial exam preparation for the current topics rather than the full syllabus from scratch.
Do you teach to a specific school's assessment style?
We ask for recent assessment tasks and marking feedback at the first session and plan around them, alongside the current NESA syllabus, since schools do weight topics differently.
What happens if Marcus is away for a session?
We reschedule rather than substitute a different tutor for a one to one program, because continuity is most of the value in the HSC year. Missed sessions get a make-up slot within the same fortnight where possible.
